Well, our time in Ios has flown by, and we've honestly done next to nothing. We both have done a lot of reading of our books, tried to lay out on the beach but it was too windy, have slept in, and watched quite a bit of TV at night. We did go out our last night in Ios and made quite a night of it! We caught the midnight bus into town and just kind of followed everyone else who seemed to know where to go. We had planned to check out an Irish place called Irish Dreams (or something along those lines), but instead we found our way to a club called Rehab. Ios We were sad to leave beautiful Santorini but we had four nights to go on the mega party island of Ios. We arrived in Francescoes, a beautiful apartment complex on the very top of the hill overlooking the bay. I was not rooming with Kel for first night so we met after unpacking to shop for a new bikini. We then took a bus to far out camping, which was where Grace and Jem were staying on the beach. We couldn't find the girls, so we went to the beach instead, we had some bar workers try to talk us into going to their club as they got paid to be friendly to people on the beach. Ios...Viewer Discretion is Advised. (For those of you short of time come back later) Arriving at the small party island of Ios we were greeted with a shuttle to our campground called Farout which was more of a resort than a campground and home to one of the nicest sandy beaches and poolside parties in the northern hemisphere. Since sleeping was not in the itinerary we decided to reserve your average 3 man tent and purchase the finest dollar store matresses money could buy. Once we were settled in we began what turned out to be an eight day bender with a cheers to making it where we have alive and safe. We didn’t want to waste the day sleeping again so we set the alarm for 10am and actually got up at 11am. Not too bad! We headed to the beach in front of the Far Out Club. Steve was hoping it would be busier there and it was a little bit but not crazy like he hoped. Also the Meltemi boat rental place put all their kayaks in front of us completely blocking our access to the water. The water was much rougher down this end of the beach and the waves had everything churned up.
