The Acropolis and Zeus
Over the last 9 months we have learned that you really can’t plan more than a couple of days ahead. We left the continent of Africa after an absolutely amazing time. Our tentative plan was to start in Greece and make our way up through Eastern Europe, visiting some friends along the way. We made it to Greece and settled in easily to the beach lifestyle on Crete. We spent 3 weeks hanging out in tiny beach towns and mountain villages. This is where the unexpected came. Along the way we always thought there could be problems, unexpected events, budgets blown or whatever that would cause us to cut our trip short. But at the end of August we got news we never expected. An email from home with the subject “emergency” told us that it was time to come back. Jason’s father had been hospitalized and is currently battling AML (type of Leukemia).
We will never take for granted the 9 months we had traveling around the world, places we saw, amazing experiences, and lifelong friends we met.
We learned that life really can change in a minute as we are now temporarily staying in Poughkeepsie, NY dealing with a

Jason and Woodley
After a combined 17yrs at the same company we decided to hang it up for a year and see the world. We packed up our stuff and drove from Arizona to New York where we flew to Australia...that's where the journey begins.
