Not much to report today. It was a travel day mostly. We caught the 11 am bus back to Athens this morning after breakfast. The bus was 25 minutes late, but it is Sunday, we were happy that it even showed up! Once back in Athens after a 3 hour ride through the Greek country side, we took the city transit back to the metro station. From there we were able to locate our new hostel with relative ease. It is called Hostel Zorbas - come on we had to stay here just because of the name! Remind anyone of My Big Fat Greek Wedding or Zorba the Greek? No? Just me..ok. Any ways it isn't as nice as our last place, but there are some really great people here. We are staying with two guys from Hong Kong, and we have run into Texans and Canadians. Small world I tell ya.
Tomorrow Jan and I are heading out of town to Napflio. It is a tiny little town in the Peloponnes, but from there we plan to do some day trips to Argos, Mycene, and Corinth. Napfilo is also near a beach so hopefully we might get a swim in.
Other than that we also wanted to let all of you know that the Earthquake that hit today did not reach us. It hit in Patras, it was a 6.1 and killed one man. We did feel the aftershocks here, which was strange, and a little terrifying because at the time it hit we did not know that there had been an earthequake, so naturally we were concerned about the structure of the building - if it was just going to start swaying back and forth all willy nilly. When we learned that there had been an earthquake, we wanted to make sure you all knew we were safe and sound
Also, we are not sure if our next hostel will have internet...if not it might be a couple days before we write, but we will write again as soon as we are able.

Hi Jan and Danielle,
It was nice reading your travel blog. Me and my husband are about to go to Athens and the islands (like Santorini, Naxos, etc.) and some others places in Greece for honeymoon and I am very worried about the earthquake. Reading your blog is pleasing and re-assuring to us.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding was EXACTLY what I thought about when you wrote that! At least we know a couple of us have good taste.
Glad you guys were okay from the earthquake too. Did you feel the ground shaking and everything, or was the building just trembling a little? I hope the rest of your adventures aren't quite so dangerous as that!
