Athens

well, a 5 hour train ride, a 7 minute taxi ride a 16 hour ferry ride, a 3 hour bus ride and we arrived in Athens!

We then took a 10 minute metro to our hotel. Athens like all the other cities is big, lots of people etc.
Today we walked 20 minutes to the acropolis. Nicola was some disappointed at all the scaffolding. They are always trying to restore these old monuments. One thing is forsure you wouldn't find a tour of this sort in canada, there are no hand rails to hang on to. If your not careful you could fall into a small hole etc.

We were looking for an internet cafe but really there aren't that many here in Athens so i am using the computer of a travel agency. We booked a Delphi tour for tomorrow. Another Archeological site that Nic wants to see. We are going to a couple of islands next week as well. Naxos and Santorini. Time is sure flying by now. We miss home though.

Sunday we will be going to the Archeological museum here in Athens. Hope to find a internet to use by then. Then I don't have to bother this poor travel agency!!!!!
