Yesterday and today have been very long, very busy days. Jonathan has been suffering from some pretty extreme jetlag. He couldn't get to sleep until well after 2AM on his second night here, had to be woken up at 10:30 so that he wouldn't sleep too long (or have his internal clock realign with EST time!), and then had a really hard time getting to sleep again last night (another 2AM bedtime). This morning was also difficult for him, but we are all hopeful that he will make the adjustment soon.
Jonathan's appetite is astounding. He will eat anything, and in hardly believable portions. He has discovered several foods here that he asks for, and has already located two "favorite" spots for his food. His current favorites are Bockwurst (though he likes Bratwurst quite a bit, too), Pizza Baguettes from a store downtown (the current all-time favorite of his visit), and Mövenpick Strawberry ice cream. I have found that keeping him full has been a much harder job than keeping him entertained... Our cooking lessons start again on Monday, so maybe those will help as well. :)
Jonathan and I walked around the old part of the city yesterday,
and Jonathan learned quite a bit about the history of the city, and explored the Frauenkirche (the Church of our Lady), the patron church of the city. We also went into the Dresden Museum of Transportation (Dresdner Verkehrsmuseum), and spent 2 hours looking at historic cars, planes, trams, playing on flight and ship simulators, learning 15 kinds of sailor knots (I never managed a single one of them!), and running around like crazy people. We had a blast.
Today started slower. We had originally planned to spend the day in Prague, but had a very, very late start. Jonathan was not particularly eager to get out of bed this morning, so, after assessing the weather situation as well, we decided to scrap our plans and start over. We went to a local street market (my favorite), and bought lots of local produce and some fish for dinner. After shopping, we drove out to Kleinwelka, about 30 minutes from us, and went to a labyrinth.
Jonathan: Yesterday I woke up at 10:30 in the morning. We went to the old city, and went to a big church. After that we went to a transportation mueseum. We thought it would
only be twenty minute thing, we were ther for two hours. They had four floors,. The first floor had trains, cars, and trams, I didn't find that interesting. The second floor had bikes, planes, and a flight simulater. I was on the fight simulater for 10 minutes or so. The third was all about boats it was so cool. It had a place where you learn how to make sailors knots. There was a remote controlled boat that I was driving, I put the boat from one dock to the other. Then there was a boat simulator it was so fun. In the simulator you had to go through checkpoints. At first it was realy hard because I didn't know all the controls. The fourth Floor wasn't that interesting to me, it Had posters of other countries.
Today Erica, Andreas, and I went to a labyrinth. It was realy cool, we got lost a lot and went around in circles. when we got through with that there were two slides, one was realy high, the other wasn't as high but it turned a lot. I went on the shorter slide, I forgot to sit on my jacket. I didn't
go fast because there was to much friction. It took me like five minutes to go up the big slide because it got thinner and thinner each level you go up, I almost got stuck at the top because it was so tiny. Before I went down the slide I sat on my jacket, I went so fast it was scarry.

Jonathan,
This sounds like such a fun trip. You will have to tell me all about it when you get home. I am sure you are having so much fun that you don't even miss Atlanta. Is it hot?
