The food is so cheap over here. Tonight five of us ate at a local steak house which served big meals. The 3 men all had beers and the full bill was still under 100 euros.

There is a small shopping centre which I wandered about but nothing much caught my eye except some lovely Steiff toys. I wondered if I should be buying family heirlooms or not. There was also a brand of quality plastic farm animals which reminded me of my childhood collect I loved so much. Wonder where they all went *humpf !

Aldi's was an eyeopener price wise. (see photos attached)

Hi Dana, No I didnt buy one !! I was tempted but decided I would wait until we return to Germany. They weren't all that dear either about 30 euros on average

Food and alcohol prices
Yes - we are really being "ripped off" here in Australia ! The thing that also amazed me about the fresh fruit and vegies in Scotland WAS THAT THEY WERE SO FRESH. I am sure you are seeing the same thing in Germany.
