The food is so cheap over here. Tonight five of us ate at a local steak house which served big meals. The 3 men all had beers and the full bill was still under 100 euros.
There is a small shopping centre which I wandered about but nothing much caught my eye except some lovely Steiff toys. I wondered if I should be buying family heirlooms or not. There was also a brand of quality plastic farm animals which reminded me of my childhood collect I loved so much. Wonder where they all went *humpf !
Aldi's was an eyeopener price wise. (see photos attached)

Australian born and married to German born Lou with 3 sons, Guy (24) , Elliott (22) and Lance (21).
We live on the outskirts of Melbourne, Victoria in a location reknown for its rolling farmlands and beautiful beaches both family and surf. It is called Mornington Peninsula.
Our house is an old Federation style farmhouse and we have 2.5 acres or 1 hectare of land.
Other family members are 3 cats ( Madeline, twins Lily and Allen ) 5 chickens and 2 sheep Delilah and Shaun.

Hi Dana, No I didnt buy one !! I was tempted but decided I would wait until we return to Germany. They weren't all that dear either about 30 euros on average

Food and alcohol prices
Yes - we are really being "ripped off" here in Australia ! The thing that also amazed me about the fresh fruit and vegies in Scotland WAS THAT THEY WERE SO FRESH. I am sure you are seeing the same thing in Germany.
