A weekend work retreat in Frankfurt gave me the chance to visit my birthplace again. My Dad always uses the expression "grey as Frankfurt skies" but luckily Sunday was sunny and beautiful - perfect for walking around downtown and taking a few photos.

Town Center

Meat Plate
On Friday night we ate at a traditional German restaurant where large plates of meat were on offer. This is the sharing platter which consists of grilled pork shoulder, pork knuckle, spare ribs, salted ribs, grilled pork belly and sausages, served with sauerkraut and home-fried potatoes. We also sampled the schnitzel, LOTS of apfelwein and apple strudel for desert. De-lish.
