Hamburg

Shortly after we arrived at the station, Chris and Jakob were there to meet us. It was great to see Jakob, it had been over a year since he was in Eltham with us. When we got back to Jakobs, we had a big BBQ which was awesome because it had been so long since id had some beautifully cooked chicken and beef.

The next morining Chris, Ash and I went for a bike ride in a big nature reserve near Jakobs. As we were riding we saw a plane (cesna) being towed towards a tiny run way. AS we stood at watched as it took off, the pilot dipped the plane towards as as if he was goin to crash and for a split second we all thought he was coming right for us!!!!

After the ride we went into Hamburg city for some shopping and sight seeing. There were massive summer sales on so it was a great opportunity to shop. Later that night we had another big meal, this time satay stir fry. It was the best Id eaten since Id been on my own.

The following day we went on a 3 hour train ride to an Island off the German-Danish border. Jakob brought some friends and they all spoke great english! So we spent the day lounging on the beach in the sun, it was just like summer in australia. Later that night we had a few drinks and by then it was 2am and after the 4,30am start, we were wrecked at went to bed. The next day we slept in and then went to Hamburg station with Chris and caught a bus to Warsaw, Poland for only 30 euro.
