I don't remember much happening during class today. I remember i was late and there was a new young girl sitting in with our class. Giving there were only 3 days left of instruction i was a little confused. She didn't have any books. Was she a friend of Sinzi's? At break I asked her her name. Lena. She was doing an internship at the Goethe and would be working in the Culture office with Maxi. Very nice girl. I think she was from Hannover.. Also during the long pause I'm sitting at a computer and BAM
.......
Adrian slaps his hand and a piece of paper down beside me. it says nothing but £90. Yes? I ask. "90 Euros" he says "90 Euros for Amsterdam. Want to go?!!" His eyes are on fire. I can't help myself as i start to grin. "Is that there and back or just there?" "There and back" I grin more. "Okay" "Okay good! Maxi can buy us the tickets!"
So i join Maxi and Adrian at the culture buro office to discuss the tickets. We have to go back to class but I'm all grins and very excited. After class we meet again with Maxi and Lena and Lena ever so nicely calls the ticket office for us and books us two seats both ways and does all the hard work. As she proceeds to take directions on how to obtain the tickets, the instructions go... and go somemore... and just when you think there couldnt be anymore, she fills up a page with them. Awesomely Maxi and Lena went with us to the Main Station to pick them up with the help of our new "instruction booklet" that Lena jotted down. I remember Maxi really wanted to make sure I knew how to use the tickets (note, there is absolutely nothing special about the tickets. one shows the times, others show our individual seats, and one is the actual ticket).
"Do you know what Gleis means?"
>>"Platform"
"Abfarft?"
>>Departure
I'm looking at him now with a face that says, we'll be fine. and he grins and backs off and i say "oh wait, whats this here mean. 'Zug'"
His face jumps up quick to look at me with wide eyes and so does Lena
I continue "Thats the thing thats like, in the air right?"
He gets out a "du..." before i pat him on the back saying, yeah, i know, its a train. Silly boys. They can dish out all the sarcasm but can't take it themselves. hehehe
I think it was Tuesday that i came home and Hildegard invited me to eat with her and Jogi around 8:30. At 9 Hildegard and I were waiting in the kitchen as she shook her head. I guess Jogi is chronically late. The she goes "It's because he lived in South America. They're always late. Sometimes a day." Then she does her cute little Hildegard laugh. Love. Jogi comes in bouncing off-the-walls. He'd spend his whole day pulling families around in his bike taxi, then went swimming and is still hyperactive. He sits down with huge eyes and ear to ear green. HI! Hi Jogi. Apparently he had two espressos at 3 pm (its not 9:30) and thats what caused the energy. cough cough Elizabeth? ;)
The dinner was DELICIOUUUSS. It was kiesh with tomatos and zucchini. and a salad. Then this soupy cheesecake like sauce over strawberries for dessert. MMMMM
Other meals Hildegard has made are homemade broccoli puree soup. AAHHAHAHAH SOOO GOOD. And a rice, cheese and zucchini scramble. I think i drooled on myself when i was eating that one.
