Travel day to Berlin

Arrived in Berlin at 5.30pm. Ellisa (an Aussie girl I met on the bus this morning) and I went for a walk around the city, we saw the Tv Tower, The Dom catherdral, the Book Burning Square and more in such a short walk from our hostel. I really like it here in Berlin already. I feel so comfortable and relaxed here, it is such a beautiful city. Or maybe I am just getting used to this travelling thing. After a German Schnitzel for dinner at the hostel, I had a few drinks with some other Aussies doing Busabout and 2 Canadian girls. I also bumped into Abbey and Monique who I meet in Amsterdam it was their last night in Berlin.

For my first full day in Berlin I went on a 4 hour walking tour of the city. It was an amazing tour. It was really amazing learning about Berlin and its history, about the Berlin Wall and so much more. I really enjoyed every minute of this tour. Met up with Megs, Sigrid and Luke after walking for another 1 1/2 hours to find them. I was very thankful for the walking tour which helped me find my way around the city. We then walked for another 2 hours around the city while I should them what I had seen and learned on the walking tour this morning like the Holocaust Memorial, The Berliner Dom, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag and more

Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial Tour

Today Megs, Sigrid, Luke and myself went to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial. It was a very moving and interesting experience. It is so hard to put into words what this experience was like. The only dissappointment was our tour guisde he was very borning and had no personality so I don't think I got as much out of the experience as I think I could have. But it is something I am really glad that I did.

Travel day to Switzerland

ICE train departing Berlin at 6.33am and arriving in Interlaken OST at 4.30pm.
