I was able to get some photos uploaded this afternoon, but I'll have to upload the rest later. So, I've posted some photos from Eger, Hungary, Slovakia, and Krakow, Poland.

Last week's classes focused on negotiation, whereas this week's focus on mediation. We have a fact pattern that we're working with all week. We're broken up into groups of 7 or 8 and we each get an opportunity each day to play the role of mediator and work on each step of the mediation process - e.g., information gathering and creating solutions. There's much more pressure this week as others are watching our performance.

I've got to tell a story about a Polish kid I met here (because I told him he was so funny I had to include him in my travel blog). Peter is from Poland, but now lives in Berlin. He has a Polish law degree and is working on a German law degree. His girlfriend, Jadja, is in my class. Peter and I were discussing the merits of owning a home versus renting an apartment. He said that he hates cleaning his room, let alone cleaning a whole house. He then said that his parents have a cleaning lady. To make a long story short - he then told me that he goes home to Poland every three weeks and the cleaning lady washes his clothes for him (he's never done laundry in his life!). The highlight is that the cleaning lady irons all of his clothes - including his underwear. Wow.
