Edit Blog Post
Hi Friends & Family,
It's been a long time since I've updated this travelblog. Whoops!
It's not that I didn't want to but rather, so many things have happened since the summer of 2011 when I last updated this travelblog.....
After coming from Poland, we went on a trip to Brandenburg and then to London. That was an exciting trip 'cos that was the first time that "The Small Young Gentleman" had ever been to London and he was so ready for it!
I decided that I wanted to do a Phd, so since it's been years since I actually did my first degree, I decided to register for a Masters. In England! That basically meant that I commuted between England and Germany, every six weeks in order to do my classes.
I hope to finish in 2014 and will keep you posted!
On the night of New Years's Eve, before the very last count of midnight leading into 2012, Frank and I became engaged! Whoop! Whoop!
2012 was such a fantastic and emotional year. As far as travelling was concerned, we all went skiing in the Czech Republic, then we went to Tuscany
Bryce Canyon
At the Bryce Canyon, USA in Italy for the summer. It was great as we're lovers of Italian food and culture.
In September of 2012, Frank and I got married in a lovely castle in Potsdam. In Germany.
It was so romantic and everything that we absolutely wanted. All our friends and family were there. The weather was lovely and we had the castle, lake, field, animals and premises all to ourselves. As it was our private event, I have enclosed only one photo here.
In 2013, "The Small Young Gentleman" and I went on our annual "mother and child" trip to London, again. But this time, it was London with a difference.
In the Docklands.
By the river.
In the East of London.
We both had a great trip and did a lot of river walking whilst spending quality time together.
In the spring, we went to Osnabrück, the home-town of my new husband, to celebrate a local festival there.
In the autumn, we went to Scotland.
We also went to Cheshire in England, to spend some time with the family.
In the next few weeks, I'll be going to Amsterdam and in
Yosemite National Park
At the Yosemite National Park, USA. the spring of 2014, we will be going to France with the American Boy Scouts.
Finally, in the summer we will be going to my favourite place of all: the Asian continent!
It's been lovely writing to you all and I have loved this travelblog forum however, in the middle of October, I started a new blog. It's a lifestyle blog and will concentrate on not only travel issues but my lifestyle, being an expat and pretty much anything else I can think of.
In order that it doesn't imbibe too much into my most fascinating life, it goes out once a week!
If you would like to follow my journey please go to
http://thebritishberliner.wordpress.com I very much look forward to hearing from you and from time to time, I will check this travelblog for any messages, etc; but for now, thank you very much for reading, danke schöne and au revoir!
