In Landshut we made friends with Manfred, whose grandson Matthias is travelling with us. He is a wonderful character who chats with everyone where ever he goes. He was the Police Commissioner for Munich but is retired now.

Manfred came each day and drove Ann Marie and I to the games in Ingolstadt and Regensberg. Screaming down the autobahn @ 150kph in his small car was an experience !! *shudder.

Despite our speed cars were still whizzing past us. Apparently there are very few accidents and the road conditions were excellent.

I had looked forward to Regensburg but I only got to see the small beer garden at the Junior Soccer Ground *stomps foot. The Club fed us afterwards so it was too dark to take in any other sights but Lou promised we will return there in October... I hope so.
