Yesterday was a lot of fun biking in the Alps albeit once again, quite dangerous flying down gravel paths. Pretty much anything fun here involves danger but it was a good time, canyoning was my favorite sport that I did here. But after 4 days I was once again ready to head off somewhere new, and less expensive. Switzerland was ridiculously expensive, no seriously really really expenisive.
We got up at 6am this morning after not going to sleep until around 2am after passing around a bottle of Jager with some of the other people at the hostel but i wanted to make the 7am train to Munich. Actually it was pretty sweet because we just slept at the hostel without paying last night because theres no room keys or anything and so many people work there, a lot of hostels have a few main people behind the desk but this place had a ton so we just never packed up and found some empty beds and just slept in those.
I got into Munich at 2pm and walked to the Euro Youth Hostel about 3 mins from the train station and got a dorm bed. Im pretty beat from last nights lack of sleep and the weather is pretty crappy so im just gonna shower, do some laundry and get a haircut which should be interesting since I dont speak any german and the guy at reception said they probably wont speak any english...so yeah.
Theres a pub crawl tonight so thats all thats on the agenda for today and ill do some sightseeing tomorrow. Theres some bike tour thats supposed to be awesome and a few people in interlaken recommended it so ill probably check that out tomorrow if the weather clears up. I really want to get a good meal tonight too since ive been eating the bare minimum to get by since florence. Mostly cold cut sandwiches, pasta, and one night boiled potatoes because we miscalculated a few of the ingredients. Its all part of the experience though...
It has been aweomse so far, and now that the high season is coming the hostels have tons of people around which it great because when it was april some of the hostels in ireland were dead, but now that all the college kids are gettin out theyre filling up.
Alright times almost up...

Hi Matt, Once again we have all been enjoying your journals and it was great to hear from you again on Marissa's birthday. She was so happy that you called. We went to Nocello's for her birthday and had a good time. After we had cake at the house and later she went out with her friends. Jason and Carolyn moved into their new apartment over the weeekend and are now busy unpacking and settling in. As you can see there in no one here canyoning or riding bikes down the side of mountains. The only excitement we've had here is Jason's car while parked mind you outside of work have the ground give way and the back of his car fall into the hole. He was very upset understandably and had to have his car towed and new tires and rims put on. His boss is paying all the expenses which is really nice of him. Ofcourse his was the only car damaged. The rest of us are all doing fine and are glad to hear that you are having a woderful time. Stay well and look forward to seeing what else you've been up to. Mom - christine critelli
