Out Trip to Ingolstadt

We drove to Ingolstadt to see the Audi Factory where they made Markus´ Car.

The amazing trip to Ingolstadt



today we drove to Ingolstadt to see the Audi Factory, where Markus´ Car was made. We also visited the Museum of Audi (see Pictures). In the factory it was not allowed to take pictures. so we will write you some imformations down.

1. The whole factory is the same size as monaco and more employees then residents of monaco (about 32.000).
2. They produce about 2.300 cars in this factory per day. Audi sell about 1 Million cars per Year.
3. In the Audi Forum - people can pick up their new car. about 60.000 cars leaves the factory in that way.
4. A leather Seat needs 36.000 stitches per seet (wow!)
5. We saw some production lines.
a) The Production of the Car-Parts with a stamping machine.
b) the robots welding the metal parts and built it together (97%!a(MISSING)utomation)
c) the assembly of the whole car. (3%!r(MISSING)obots, 97%!p(MISSING)eoples work)
d) it takes 4,5 hours to assemble a car.
6. They produce a whole car from the beginning till to the end in 17 hours.

More infos about the factory
The stamping machines works with earthquake powers. therefore there is a 15 meters deep of insulation for dampening reasons. otherwise they can´t make precise readings of the measurements.

Paul and I had a used Audi our first year of marriage. Not as nice as Markus car. They're cool cars for sure. Someone takes really good pics. mary
