Howdy!
Well here it is our penultimate blog from Munich. The first morning we whizzed around the main sites in central Munich, including the rather nice rathaus, complete with Glockenspiel and the huuuuge Frauen Kirche. After all this strenuous site seeing we decided to take advantage of the good weather and head up to the Englischer Garten which is a big outdoor beer Garden surrounded by park and forests. However on route Ben decided to throw his camera in a nearby river that we were taking pictures of. Whilst he stressed Dan and i went to see if we could find it. We did, and Dan bravely made the decision to wade in after it as we decided the memory card was probably salvagable.
Anyways after all the drama we were in definite need of a beer, in Ben and Dans case this involved a 'Masse' which is a litre- you should see the size of the glass, i had a sip and almost got my head stuck in it!
Later that night we felt we should visit one of Munich's most famous sites the Hofbrauhaus. Which is one of Germany's famous beer halls, it was so big, just like the glasses. I asked for a small white beer and was presented with a 1/2 litre glass (a pint), apparently thats as small as they come! We were merry but the group of chinese peeps behind us were having a ball, one of them kept bursting into a solo of operatic proportions, not realising he was louder than the entire brass band that were playing in the hall.
Quite a mellow day today as we're slightly tired after finally finding our bed at 2.45am! Ben coaxed us out of bed eventually and we went to the olympic stadium, Bayern Munich's old ground where we won 5-1! May check out a local English cinema tonight before catching the 8.40am train tomorrow for
'Gay Paris'!
Au revoir,
Sam Ben and Danny xx
ps. struggling for the old USB techno again, hopefully post some more in the gallery as a last horrah from Paris

Dont forget watch out for hurendous traffic in paris.
I guess Ben will be asking Santa for a waterproof camera for Christmas! It's a good job Sam didn't get her head stuck in the "masse" glass, you would have had to smash it (the glass that is). Have fun in Paris :)
Sam Please read your emails.

A little behind the times but very interested to hear about the time spent in a box. Can only presume that as it was in Italy it would have been very stylish?
A little worried about Dan thrashing about in the river (how the imagination can run riot)but then just the usual Mummy panic! Glad to hear all went well though.
Hope Paris is proving to be a suitably fine end to your travels.
take care one and all.
Love Debbie
