We went to see the apartment Valter was going to be staying in after we left Schiltach. The rooms are above a mountain restaurant, which is only open on weekends. It is surrounded by miles of beautiful hiking trails, and I guess it is pretty well-known in the area. The he is renting it from the man who also owns a beautiful hotel in town (where Valter has to move to at the end of July).
We bought all kinds of different meats and vegetables (can't really tell you what the meats were, as the store had everything lsited in German), but they were all marinated and grill-ready when we bought them. We even found a grill in the market, for something like 8 euros. Add that to the BEST local strawberries, and we have an awesome meal.
