Hi everyone! Last week I had tests and went to a very fun salsa and swing dance class at a dance club, which proved to be a lot of fun. Wednesday I visited the French headquarters of Amnesty International, a learning trip but a good experience nonetheless. On Saturday, our program took us on our last trip which was to eastern France in Strausborg. We checked into the hotel and went on a brief walking tour of the city, which was really nice because of the river running through it and the style of the buildings. The Cathedral in particular was really gorgeous to see because of its strikingly gothic attributes against the little villages in the backdrop.
We enjoyed free time after and had a nice dinner at a restaurant. The next morning they took us to the Black Forest across the German border, which was by far my favorite part of the trip. We took a stroll into the forest and sat along the lake. A lot of the scenery reminded me of Lake Tahoe actually, and we set on our quest for some famous Black Forest cake. Oh, and my German is horrendous but I used it
at lunch to say thank you to the waitress! We had a bit of time in Freiburg, a small city next to the forrest, and did a very brief walking tour of that. The train back was quiet and relaxing, I finished my book and studied for a big architecture test I have today. Also, I will put pics up of my new haircut and hope everyone likes it! This week I have 3 tests followed by 2 weeks of spring break which I'm looking forward to. I'm mostly staying in Paris and am really excited about visiting museums and getting to relax in the city I've grown to appreciate and am still becoming acquainted with. Talk to everyone later and miss you all!!!
And Happy Birthday to my Dad on April 19th
and my Grandma on April 23rd!!!!!
Wish I could be there with both of you, I am nothing without your support and love and I always thank you for that :)
