Same time, Same place, just different people.
For NY eve I have been really creative and I went to Les Halles. The U** Cinecity. LOL
First I must correct something. The monster is not 15 theaters but 23 theaters. And there are less people than i wrote about on Xmass eve to care about us, customers.
Night of the NY eve is really different from Xmass. The complex is alive this time. Looks almost a normal weekend day with some exceptions.
The first exception does not strike you at first: Clothing. Looks like the entire Parisian dressing code has changed in a day. Shoes are shiny, almost no jeans to be seen and if seen its creation sportwear, nice dresses and coats. All the Ladies here seem to be just out of the hairdresser. I feel like back to the 50ies (I was not born then) when cinema was and really ment something. (Makes me think that it was inadequate with the complex.)
The second exception comes as you get closer: Perfumes. Looks like one of this beauty and makeup malls we know has open during the night. The mix of essences, fragrances is breath taking. You can hardly identify one perfume precisely and that is a lesson too. That's the odor of equity. Nothing prevales. Nor the rose, the musk, the lemon or safran detones. It s all in one.
The third exception is in behavior: Behavior. Even late, there is no rush. No stress. Just like if everyone knew his place in this strange, colorfull and aromatic balley.
The movie I went to that night was also an exception. Usually I disconsider moovies recommended by the U** Network. It s often dumm and/or sirup overdosed.
The movie is from Israel and the french title is "La visite de la Fanfare". It is on Original Soundtrack. The story is about the Music Band of Alexandria Police Dept being invited by a small city in Israel. The plot is that something goes wrong with the way the band is welcomed and get lost in Israel. Then, adventure bring the band to meet Isrealies who weren t expecting them.
Sounds like the sirup is already allover.
Well, it is not. The interpretation makes it all subtelties. As I don 't understand nor Arabic nor Hebrew. I did focus mostly on the play and the actors did great. To the last minutes, I kept on asking myself how it was going to end. (that is really unexpected on a U** Network).
For the political message in there, I will leave this to Egyptians and Israelies. I will just say that it was good quality entertainment.
I went then back Home.
At midnight, when fireworks started to sound, I did express my wishes for the New Year by hanging at my window nice and colorfull tibetan prayer flags.
I told you that I am not religious person. It is just that I think funny to have the Paris winds blowing those flags just for the person who in India or Tibet did sew them together. I guess he/she will never know.
Therefore, if you pass by my suburban area and some flags upthere catch your eyes. It may be mine.
Today the weather is nice again and I had new chain fixed to my left foot this morning.(practical NON joke here)My doom.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
