Val D'Isere

Wow..what an amazing little place! Now I know why Liv and Emma loved it so much! I was only there for a week and fell in love with it! Had a great time hanging out with Liv, Dan, Miles & Debs, it was just a pity it went so fast! It pretty much snowed the whole time I was there...the locals were saying its the most snow they have had at this time of the year since 1987.

Val is full of english, spanish and french people, so I didnt have to much problem commuicating. One of the nights everyone was busy so I went to the internet cafe. Ended up meeting a group of tourists from Barcelona so went out for a few drinks with them which was fun!

In the mornings and evenings Liv, Dan & Deb were working at the chalet so Miles and I spent our time riding on the free lift or exploring the adorable little town. One of the evenings we had a dinner, wine and a DVD at the Chalet, another night we went out and saw a band play....it was all very enjoyable!

Highlights were:
-An amazing day of boarding with Liv, Dan & Miles
-Hanging at the Chalet with the crew
-Riding the free lifts with Miles (I know! they had free super-comfy 4 seater pimped as lifts)
Learning to ride again in powder was a challenge but soooooo much fun!

Getting back to the airport in Geneva to catch my plane back to Madrid was a real mission! The bus never showed In Val so i had to walk back the the flat at 630 in the morning in the snow to get the boys to drive me down to the next town to catch another bus (thanks Dan & miles). Then the bus didnt show there either so they had to order a bus for two of us which didnt come till 1045. By the time the bus arrived i was exhausted!! Ha, but there was no sleep to be had as the only other passenger on the bus was this lovely canadian girl who talked non stop for 2 and a half hours!

I arrived at the airport just in time to catch my flight. I slept the whole two hours back to Madrid. Thanks to the crew in Val for an amazing time!!!!!! I loooooved it.
