Just back a couple of days and a new trip started to the Alps. Picked up a friend of mine (Job) at the airport of dusseldorf and we continued together to the mountains. Near Chamonix we met with Sebastian and his friend Marc, and we set of to Italy. Our plan was to conquer the grand paradis.
Some beatiful camping, and then it took us to morning to get prepared. With a heavy load we made our way up. Our plan was not to camp at the hut, but going a bit further up the mountain and camp in our tents.

We were lucky with the great weather, and after a though first day we were enjoying our meals and played some games before getting our rest.
The morning was cold and we left in the shade, after an hour of climbing we reached the snow an we had to rope up. Slowly we came closer to the summit and the scenery was fantastic. It was a bit crowded at the summit so we had to wait a bit before we could stand next to the Maria statue! A long trip brought us back to our tents. We packed our

stuff and continued all the way down. A couple hours later we were eating a pizza in Torino and it was after midnight that we arrived in France.......it had been a long day!

In Guillestre (France) we relaxed in the morning and made some plans for activities for the next couple day.
First day we did some good rock-climbing and we went to a lake for a swim, in the evening we drank some deserved cold beer to celebrate our climb of the Grand Paradis, the day before.

It had been 2 years since I had done some canyoning (with Sebastian in Peru was the last time) and it was even longer ago (5years) since I had been doing canyoning in Guillestre.
So our first trip we couldn't find the way to the entrance for more than an hour and we climbed up some pretty steep parts and guess what??? Getting down again was even harder there

But when we found the canyon we had a great trip, rappelling down some large waterfalls (the longest 35 meters) and it took us a couple of hours to get down.
Last couple days we did some more rockclimbing and

After working as a tourguide in Norway and Canada for a couple months, I just started traveling in Latin America. From Cancun, Mexico I follow the Maya Route down to Panama. From there I will go to Patagonia to do some camping and outdoorsports!! 2 years ago I started travelling, to Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia (incl. Borneo),Thailand,Laos and Cambodia. I loved being in the nature, hiking, camping, surfing, diving and so much more. Met so many friendly and great people....and you know what... full info
