Today I spent the day in Aix-en-Provence. This is actually one of the places that I was most looking forward to visit. The reason being that when I was 13 I had a pen pal called Florence and she was from Aix. I don’t know if back at that age, I ever had the notion that I would one day make it to Aix-en-Provence.

I started this blog just as I was about to embark on my first solo trip (that was back in May 2008). A-en-P I'm a bit behind here, clearly...
I have a shirt from Aix-en-province, bought for me by Christine's grandmother when she went.
Wearing it at the gym once, a lady stopped me to ask if I'd ever been (I assumed that she wanted to feel my traps but was mistaken).
I explained that I had not. She wouldn't stop talking to me about the place, how much I would love it, how great the people are, etc. Eventually, I had to return to my 120 pound curls but she raved about it for quite a while.
The moral of the story? Don't buy me a shirt there, I already have one.
Wandering Around Aix Loved the pictures with all the spices and foods. Looks like you are having an amazing time. Can't see what you see on your next stop. (I'm a little behind on my reading....) Enjoy!
