A Look at Cannes!

Here are some pictures of Cannes! I wasnt expecting to be living in a place with palm trees! The weather has been great here so far! It rained real hard one day a week ago, but otherwise it has been in the 60s, I still need a jacket but I wont complain!
My project director took us out to dinner the second night here and showed us around the city. She showed us La Sucée, which is the oldest building in Cannes. We then walked around the shops and saw where the Film Festival will be. The next day I went on a tour of Cannes with the other Americans at this college, they are in a different program than me so I cant go on a lot of their excursions but I managed to tag along with them on that one! They took a small train around the city.
I also took some pictures of the beach which is right across the street from the school! Ive gone running along the beach for a couple days now, its beautiful so it makes for a great run! Then i usually take off my shoes and walk along the beach for my cool down, life is hard here! haha.
Classes have been going well so far, it is three straight hours of class every morning until noon, well we do get a recess for fifteen minutes. It reminds me a little bit of high school because we go for so long and it is the same class but i am learning a lot and I feel I was placed in the right level. My classmates are mostly Americans but there is a Swedish man, a Norwegian girl, and a Japanese girl so that makes it more interesting. I told the Swedish man I have relatives in Stockholm and he was very impressed! He had never heard of lefsa though which was sad but I guess that is a Norwegian treat. Eventually I will start my International Business class which will be in the afternoon Monday and Tuesday.
My roommate situation is good so far! She is French so she can help me practice my French more and she is very nice too: She is studying journalism here and lives about 100 kilometres away.
There are the some of the main points about the school i guess! Ill try to put up more pictures i have taken and keep them updated!
