Chantilly is a beautiful spot I checked out with Andrea, a German friend of mine. Just outside the Île-de-France, in Picardy it was about a 50m train ride to get there. Once there the weather gods were smiling and I thoroughly enjoyed yet another great day at another great spot. The horse stables at Chantilly are the most impressive I have ever seen. This trip came soon after having visited the Château de Versailles and the Château de Fontainebleau and I remember at the time feeling slightly overawed. The history, culture and monuments that France offers is quite incredible. 6 months in and I was just beginning to get a taste of it.
