Read your whole blog!
Dear Bob and Linda, I have a sense of having traveled the world and never leaving our home. It was so very detailed including so many interesting facts. Loved your remarks about your lovely wife and gorgeous children. You have a great sense of humor and love people. I guess probably all Dalat grads tend to easily make friends with strangers. I am always meeting and talking with those I wait in line! Just met a nice Jewish man going through Charlottesville on his way to N.C. We and my husband were in line at Walmart. Meeting new people just makes life more interesting!! Your sister Sue was one year younger than me. She has always been such an easy going person and was always so very nice to me all through the 12 or so years at Dalat I suggest you write a book written for the world wide traveler. You learned through experience and people would love to learn what you learned before they make the same mistakes. Since you know facts of just about anywhere your book would be very useful and popular!! Also I found profound interest in your work with NATO. Your life as turned out to be such a fantastic mix of interesting job, travels and an extraordinarily beautiful family!! We have family in Colorado and have been there many summers at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins. I agree. I believe Colorado to be the best place to retire!! Thank you so very much for sharing your blog! I never could stop reading it until I came to the end. I am an artist and noted three photos which I would enjoy painting a watercolor. The first was the beginning of a blog in 1995- Visit to Nato- Iceland. The photo includes (I think) Linda and your first child in a scenic picture. The other photo marks travels beginning in 2005 and it is a view From Pali Cliffs at Sunrise and the other is sunset over Kalaloch Beach. But don' t put yourself out. I have plenty of subjects to paint. Thank you again most kindly for all the work you put into the blog. God bless you!! Sincerely, Carolyn Van Valkenburg
