Big day! Arrived in a little before 6am and got train and metro to our hotel, stowed bags and set out. Got our bearings on walk to musee d'orsay. Had lunch in local pub/bistro -- great basic French and wonderful atmosphere. Finally able to check in and have a bit of a rest before heading out again to do some shopping. Both did well at Camper shoe shop. Wandered back and had bread and cheese with view to Napolean's tomb. Looking forward to big, long sleep now!
