D-Day Tour

We took the Omaha-Utah full day tour given by Overlord Tours. Our guide, Alain Chesnel has a passion for the events of the liberation (his father had been a resistance fighter) and he took us to many sites unavailable to the general public. On such a beautiful day in the green meadows and wide beaches, it was hard to imagine the horror and bloodshed of those times but Alain made history come alive for us. We got back in town in time for a stroll through the town and then a delicious dinner in a restaurant near the cathedral, Le Pommery.
