Today we rode the open bus tour to see all of the major sites and monuments. We enjoyed riding around, seeing all the beautiful sites and neighborhoods of Paris. It is such a leisurely way to see all you can without walking yourself to death!

We hopped off at the Church of Madeline Square to go to the famous tea shop Laduree to sample their famous macaroons. We decided it was a toss up between the Lemon and salted caramel, obviously we did not know what a Paris macaroon was since we were all expecting a chewy coconut cookie! Fau Pais... They are a slightly crunchy (think meringue ) with a creamy center that melts in your mouth.....and comes in such flavors as chocolate, vanilla, lemon, salted caramel, almond, blood Orange/ginger, raspberry, strawberry etc. They were wonderful and after four each we agreed we could eat four more! We didn't! But it took willpower

As we left the tea shop and headed for our next bus we found ourselves in the middle of a parade of ethnic bands and dancers! What fun .... We then found our way to our bus and rode up to Sacre' Coeur where we again were delighted to sit and enjoy a service with beautiful singing nuns. We sat awhile to enjoy the peace and serenity of our surroundings before setting out on our long walk back to bus and home.

We got an early start today....10:00ish. And didn't arrive back at the apt. Until around 7:00 p.m. So we were all tired and travel weary. Marty had departed for home earlier in the day to cook a dinner meal for us. Upon arrival home we were greeted by delicious smells....Wonderful pasta and pork tenderloins cooked to perfection ...accompanied by a Pinot noir....we then sat on balcony enjoying the lovely evening....with coffee, ice cream and various goodies from bakery.

Just another Sunday in Paris!
