So today I went to orientation and got my books afterwards. It took a very long time to find the book store. But, eventually I found it. Books were not that expensive really. Some of my classes will be pretty demanding as I was able to access the syllabi for them. I guess once they start I will see for sure but my English class is probably the most demanding one ironically. I do not think that this will be a necessarily easy schedule, but it will keep me busy that is for sure. It really feels like summer is over now. A routine will start and the learning and work will begin. Some of the classes finish much earlier than I thought, so that is nice as it will give more free time before I have to leave.

Now since a routine will start and I will begin going to class my blog will most likely be less frequent because I won’t have much to say other than weekend trips. It is sad. I enjoy writing like this and I especially like seeing new and cool things to write about. It is also exciting because I will start to feel like a Parisian rather than a tourist. These are all very new feelings and experiences. All part of growing and learning.

There are many small things to be done. So much is in the details.

Today was the first day of class! I got up early and headed to my school. I met with my friends there and our French teacher was late. There was a mistake in something... it was very confusing and frustrating. We ended up staying until the class at 10:30 and Chris and I went and got a coffee and talked for a while before. That was fun and pleasant despite having to wait for class to start. We then finally went to class and the professor was sorry and class was really good. My professor is really fun, and funny. She knows 8 languages so she knows how to teach and learn new languages. We just learned simple things today but in about a month apparently we will be able to speak quite a bit of French! So that is exciting! I then had lunch at the school, classic baguette sandwich. I also need to talk to the dean as there is a mistake with part of the scheduling. I then went to my English/critical thinking class. It was really interesting! I think that I will enjoy it though! The professor is quite quirky but cool! We learned a lot and I think that there is a lot I can get out of it that will benefit my writing and thinking. I also met a lot of students from all over the place! That will be very interesting to get to work and study with many people from many different cultures. That will be great for resume building! I then finally came home. I will not have classes tomorrow so that will be nice! I am really looking forward to going to Germany too this weekend! It will be nice to see a friend that I have not seen in a very long time! I think that I will be able to manage this semester pretty well so far as long as I stay on top of things and work persistently.

I will not have class tomorrow so I will have the day to do what I wish with it. It will be nice to relax some.
