After Jami and Mike's beautiful wedding in Spain, we decided to head to Paris with Mom and David for a little sight seeing and R&R. Paris is definitely one of our favorite cities and we felt so lucky to be able to travel back there again, this time with some of our favorite people!

We spent 5 days in the city and we had a blast walking around, eating delicious food and admiring the art at The Louvre. We stayed in the cutest little hotel just a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower, at Hotel Duquesne, and which was also within walking distance (if you like long 25-30 minute walks) to The Louvre. We also discovered a new part of the city that we hadn't explored before, a cute, quiet little area beginning on Rue Cler. We found lots of fantastic cafes, restaurants, outdoor markets and an antique market there. We were also treated to a romantic night-time boat ride on the Seine, which was another Paris first for us :)

On the last day of our trip, we took the train over to Brussels for a walk around and to meet up with old friends before flying into Chicago for the summer.

Tip: You can avoid standing in this line by ordering your tickets ahead of time online, then picking them up at the Virgin Store downstairs where the inverted pyramid is (this area is also known as the Carousel de Louvre), then walking in through the entrance by the inverted pyramid where there is never a line before 11am!
