Bon jour!
So where do i begin.... i guess i'll start with my flight, seeing as how that was an experience on it's own. First off, let me just say that online check-in to a 7 hour flight is pretty crucial seeing as how apparently everyone does it now (except me obviously). turns out, you can select your seat online 24 hours before the flight, so when i came in 2 hours before and asked for an aile or window the woman laughted at me. i ended up sitting, dead ass center seat of the center row of the plane... translate... MISERABLE. The woman to the next of me looked like she was dying.. sneezing, coughing, sniffling ect. so for the first hour and a half i sat with my shirt covering my mouth and nose until i finally decided to get the stewardess to find me a new seat. From then on the flight wasnt tooo bad, minus when the woman sitting in the window seat next to me tried to get out and spilled a glass of red wine on me... but whatever, im flying to paris to spend the next three months almost travelling around the globe, so
Paris10sarah in front of the hotel pacific.. note all the boarded up stores
my spirits were pretty hard to shatter. so i popped a couple sleeping pills, chugged the remainder of my wine and passed for the next 5 hours.
i was pretty impressed with myself at the airport, it took me about 2 hours from landing, a bus ride, and a subway trip to find sarah and her friend becca at the eiffel tower. The weather was pretty mis. but paris was still really cool anyways. we spent most of the day looking for a hostel/sightseeing around paris, after about 6 hours of walking around in the rain with my 40 lb backpack we finally gave up on hostels and booked a room at hotel pacifico.... prob in the sketchiest part of the city... and dont know if there is such thing but if there was we were def staying in 'little africa'. very weird, very sketch, but we made it work. We went out to a cafe and had drinks and sarah and i very arbitrarilly looked at a map and decided we wanted to go to either zurich, dublin or brussels. After looking at priced online we decided on brussels. That night we slept 3 deep on 2 singles
pushed together.... had a deece little 3some (one night in paris huh??) just kidding. then woke up in the morn and headed to brussels.
p.s. it takes a while to upload pics onto this sight so ill figure out how to send out a link to my shutterfly account so you all can see all the pics if you want.

Hey Rory whats happening man? Your trip looks pretty legit so far. Gibbs gave me the link to your blog page so I'll be checking out what you're doing and where you are. Make sure to put up as many pictures as possible, those are the best. Put up some pictures of Amsterdam whenever you make it that way. I'm also going to be in Tokyo May 10th-14th and in Paris May 15th-19th. I think you'll still be over there travelling around at that point, but I don't know where you will be during those dates or if you even know exactly where you'll be then. But if you are anywhere near those two cities then we should try to meet up somewhere and have a beer or eight. Let me know whenever you get this and have a blast. Keep on truckin'.
