i love paris - in the rain

Paris really lights up when its wet - these photos were taken on my phone, in the st michel district of the latin quarter.

it had been a lovely day so we were surprised to hear the rain from inside the cafe. we went to have waffles for dessert hoping it would stop but the rain just got heavier.
so it was cheap umbrellas from the ubiquitous souvenir shops and we had a romantic walk home in the rain. even the kids didnt grumble too much....(did i say romantic?)
