After Adele's we headed up into the Brittany region to a small town called Pont-Aven. We were supposed to stay here for about two weeks but only ended up staying about a week as there wasn't much there to do. I wasn't looking foward that much to staying in Pont-Aven as the house mum had chosen to stay in had a straw roof or thatched rooves as they are called. But the house actually wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. It seemed a very arty town as almost every second shop was an art shop selling all sorts of paintings.

The weather wasn't to good there either and it rained almost every day we were there. We didn't do much while staying there apart from visiting a few towns and watching the Tour de France. We went to one of the biggest towns in Brittany called Quimper. Quimper had plenty of shops to look at so much that we ended up going back another day to do some more shopping.

Another city we visited was Concarneau. Concarneau had a few shops but not as many as Quimper. It also had an old village on an island outcrop. Down one end of the town there where millions of ladybirds! Walls were covered in them and being down there for a few minutes you would also become covered in them. We came back to Concarneau one night for Bastille day to watch the fireworks which were pretty cool although they dragged on for a bit. The last outing we did was a drive along the cost. We stopped at a few beaches as well as stopping to have a look at a little village that mostly had thatched roofs.
