Well Christmas eve eve I had a visit from an AFS friend I made in Paris, Conor (an american) came to Fougéres so we hung out for the day. Spent most of it sitting in McDonalds but it was still fun and good to talk. After we walked around the town and looked at the christmas lights. :) .
CHRISTMAS EVE!
Also my host brothers birthday. Antoine and I went to Françoise's sisters house to set up for the dinner. It seemed like the movies, cold and raining outside but warm and happy inside! :)
Back at home we were watching movies when Jean Luc came in and told us to go outside, we walked out and saw that it was snowing! After playing int he snow for a while we then went to Françoise's sisters place where the rest of her family was for Christmas eve dinner. Considering she has 8 siblings there was a lot of people! There was so much food and wine it was amazing! At midnight (now Christmas) we had a huge secret santa thing for everybody, with some of the strangest presents!
CHRISTMAS
We drove home in the snow and got back at about 3am and I was ready for bed! But they decided seeing as it was Christmas that we would open all the presents that were under the tree! I've never been allowed to open my Christmas presents at 3AM! Everybody was so excited! Once the presents were handed out (I had so many) we all started opening them. It felt just like Christmas should, especially with the snow falling outside! All my gifts were amazing :)
After I had a video call with my family in New Zealand, then went to bed!
The next morning we went to Jean Lucs mothers place for Christmas lunch with his family, Jean Luc has 6 siblings, so once again a lot of people! Also a lot of food and wine. They also did a secret santa :)
By the afternoon I was so tired, but defiantly had a great Christmas in France and I will never forget it! To have a white Christmas is something I have always dreamed of!
