Dear Santa,

All I want for my Christmas trip this year is:




* A trip to cold but snowy Finland

* To cross the Artic Circle (the imaginary line on the earth’s globe north of which the sun never sets for at least one day in summer and never rises for at least one day in winter)

* To visit you! & run around the village in my Aussie boxer shorts

* To visit the quirky Spy Museum in Tampere, Finland

* Eat a traditional viking meal at Harald’s Viking Restuarant in Tampere

* Take an overnight train and wake up in a snowy wonderland

* Play with huskies and go on a husky sled ride

* Make a snow angel

* See if the urban legend about licking a pole in snow making your tongue stick to it is true

* Visit the famous Marttiini old knife factory/museum

* Check out the Finlayson area in the ex-industrial city Tampere

* Hike the ridge of Pispala on sunrise

* Have snow fights

* To do all of the above with my mum
