My friend has always wanted to go to Finland. I never knew it until recently, when I mentioned Finland's awesomeness. She said "OMGWTF! YOU TOO??" and I said "OMGWTF!! TWINZZZ!!!!1"* *dramatised. So after she finishes school, the year after me, we're going. And it will be so hardcore, everyone will crap their pants. What was I saying? Right. This trip will be a lot easier if I've already been to Finland. But we can't have everything.
Housing
Should be fine. My friend is quite the backpacker, so we could stay in musty dumps and neither of us would be too perturbed.
Finance
If I didn't go the year before, I will be all set to go. If I did, I'd have to work extremely hard during the year and maybe even borrow some money. I'd aim for the same amount, $5000, but keeping in mind a second person... Shouldn't make too much of a difference, but we can split some things, I guess.
Language
If I went last time, I'll be just that little bit more pro, which would be nice. If not, here's the time to start. Regardless, I'd take (another) language course, and I believe my unnamed friend would probably do the same. I hope to make a bit more progress in this time.
Bureaucracy
Basically the same as last time - we're just tourists, so there shouldn't be too much of an issue.
ALTERNATIVE:
If we didn't go, GOD FORBID... save save save for the impending exchange trip, whether it's to Finland or otherwise! (If I didn't like Finland, for some wack reason, well, I just wouldn't go. But I highly doubt that.)
