Exactly what it says on the title. All exchange students had a camping trip at a place just outside Turku called Kunsteniemi. Half of the students (includng me) were sick but of course, there would have to be an incident with the bus! As in the tyre exploading. Nice. So we all had the privilage of spending well over an hour at a City Market and Hesburger. But we made it! Only 2 hours late!
We still needed to walk over a fair bit of icy ground to get to the
hytte, and in the dark...
I also narrowly avoided killing myself as I passed out on the middle of the stairs, I was exhausted though.
So, Day 1 was spent mostly in our groups. In the workshops we learned more on Finnish life, Culture shock, songs and what else is in store for us. Guess which Swedish city I am headed for! See the pictures for the beautiful Finnish forest that we lived in for a short time. All the groups had to perform something at the party in the evening; I reckon we should get 10 points for trying! Following this we had a true Finnish Sauna!
It made me well again. Never doubt the old methods!
On the final day, the sick people were well and the well people were sick. So the Laurea Olympic Games were maybe not as fun as they could be, but I enjoyed it. Our team must have won the Gold Medal, surely.
Leaving the camp felt so much like saying Goodbye to everyone, it was strange...but untill next time...
