Hi all. It's Dan once again writing this blog. We are enjoying the Danish warm weather at the moment. Most days have been sunny and warm with temperatures around 20C. As Jes mentioned in the last blog, I started work at Interacoustics almost 2 months ago and I'm very happy with the way things are going. Because of this, I now attend evening language classes in the city of Middelfart (don't laugh), about 45min drive from Assens. Jes has recently been on a work trip to the Middle East and she will be writing a blog about that soon. We are finally starting to book weekends away starting with Oslo in 3 weeks. We had stayed in Nyborg due to Odense not having any available rooms. Nyborg is a sea side village that seemed quaint. Upon arrival to the train station, more of just a platform, the only information was a map of direction to the castle. We took a picture just in case we needed to reference it and started on our walk. It was only 2.5 km. The existing castle was built in 1554 during a time that peasants were attacking large manors, so it was built to be impenetrable with a moat, guardhouse, ramparts and firing slits.
