fantastic teacher
i just got back from intro camp, so thought i should tell you how it was!
the week was, in one word, amazing. it was so so good to meet other exchange students who are in the same position as me and it was crazy how quickly you become friends with people. everyone is so open to meeting people on exchange, and it makes it very easy to find people you 'click' with. i experienced this alot on camp, meeting other exchangies mainly from australia and new zealand (but also some from brasil, argentina and south africa) who by the end of the week, i felt like id known for years.

a typical day on the camp would involve breakfast between 8am and 830am (or for people like me, rocking up to brekkie at 8.28), before an assembly at 845. after assembly finished at 9am, danish classes would start. we had danish until 12, with hourly breaks, and then lunch from 12 until 130. we then resumed danish lessons until 330pm. from then on, we had free time until dinner at 6, then evening activities (the choice of quizzes, sports, movies or arts) from 730 until 10pm. we also went to Viborg one day, and friday was spent in Aarhus.

In Aarhus, we went to a museum which was absolutely incredible. There was everything from wheelchairs with personalities that told you how they felt about you (one told me that it stopped breathing whenever i looked at it, whilst the other told me not to disturb it's life), to the most complex mirror-room youve ever seen, to a famous giant statue of a boy (aptly named 'Boy'), to giant ipods and simulated running machines. After visiting the museum, we were free to shop in Aarhus for a couple of hours.

On saturday night, we had a disco to celebrate our last night. some of the classes put on acts and some students also performed. Prue and I remixed a famous Danish song (Det Glade Pizzabud) to fit with words about intro camp. it was hilarious but a bit too rude to put on here. Everyone partied all night, except for me who fell asleep at 2am (i was really exhausted okay!) in Larissa's bed. When she and other brasillian girls woke me up an hour later, they informed me i'd apparently been speaking danish in my sleep. i got up and chilled wiht some people for a while, then went back to bed. when i woke in the morning, i discovered my new zealander roommate had drawn on my face and wrote her name on my bum. thanks jess, much appreciated. nevertheless, it was an week night and i miss all the rotary kids already! i cant wait to see you all at rock n' randers in march 😊
