The King's CastleIt is GORGEOUS!! His garden is incredible!! Roses EVERYWHERE!! I love it!
Well, I'll just start with the flight here:
It was LOOOOOOONG!! WoW! I was fidgity and ready to just LAND! But when we did, it was incredible! Denmark is completely different from home in New Mexico. There are NO mountains. It is completely flat. But i love it! The people wear expensive brands of clothing and talk a language that will be very hard to master! But i intend to MASTER it! :o)
Well, when i got into Denmark, i had a whole CARAVAN to greet me! Haha! No, but i had my first host family, Esther (mor (mother)), Michael (far (father)), and youngest host brother Kristian (who does not speak English), then i also had my two Presidents Kim and Thomas, and my two conselors Kristian and Anders! We wen to the ONLY Starbucks in town. And that Starbucks is in the airport. Haha! But we had coffee and talked about the exciting things in Copenhagen and how excited that we all were that i am HERE!! :o) I am the first exchange student in BOTH clubs. They are relatively young clubs so i am the first exchange student and the only exchange student in the district. I
hope to make a great impression on them! One that will have them hosting more and more exchange students in the future!
That evening, my host family and i went for a walk around Copenhagen (we also had the best ice cream EVER!!). It is BUSY but beautiful. I love it here! Esther and Michael know much about Copenhagen. I proudly showed them how i could count to ten and they just laughed. My host brother said HE could count past ten. He them proceeded to count to twenty and make my counting to ten look like a joke. Uh. Haha! He is an AwEsOmE kid though.
The next day, my counselor Anders and his girlfriend Anna picked me up at ten and showed me my first castle! It was built by Christian the IV. Apparently he built so much stuff in Copenhagen that he almost banckrupt the country!! :o) I just laughed. We saw hand painted plates and jewelry that were so expensive, it would banrupt me!! But it was beautiful. That night, we met at Thomas' cafe and i met ALL my host families and more members of the Rotary clubs. I absolutely LOVE my host

families! They are all so energetic and fun. THey all smile and joke and enjoy their lives! I can see why the Danes are the happiest people in the world. Not only that, but they live in a GORGEOUS city!
Tomorrow, my thrid host mom (Susanne and her husband Jorgen) is giving me a "host tour" of her home and my 2nd host mom's (Rina and her husband Henrik and younget son Nils (who also does not speak English)) home. I am so excited to be here! FINALLY! Haha! I will write more when i can! I love you all and will talk to you soon! Hej hej! (Pronounced "hi hi" but means "bye bye"! :o) )
Kristian IVHe built EVERYTHING and almost bankrupt the city!! but people love him anf know who he was.
