Dearest all..
It's the last day in Prague and I'm feeling quite sad..I must say Prague has been my favourite city thus far..so inspirational and creative..music when you turn around every cobble-stoned pathway and such unique art and craft stores..priya and I sure stocked up on our souveniers!..
Yesterday, we went to the Charles bridge overlooking the colorful landscape of Prague and the meandering vltava river. A short stroll from there took us to the prague castle.. Although it was nothing compared to the extravagance of Buckingham palace, we were able to watch the changing of the guards without straining too many muscles. One of the guards even took a fancy to my travel buddy and stole a wink at her during his march!..she's got way too many admirer's here..she's built up a whole collection of pet names namely 'princess'..someone thought she was the president's daughter..go figure!
Today we wandered around aimlessly through the streets of prague to a so-called old-jewish town..it wasn't as astonishing as we had expected but the walk was very pleasant and quite scenic!..We also managed to witness a performance by a string quartet group later in the afternoon. They played many famous works
composed by Vivaldi, Mozart, Bach.. The acoustics were brilliant as it was held in a church with high-rising cathedral domes..spectacular..
Tomorrow we're on a twelve hour journey to Zurich..we've stocked up on so much food it should last us the rest of our trip!...and who is the keeper of the food bag?..moi!..so not looking forward to it..this is on top of our towering backpacks which is rising several inches on a daily basis!
No usb port so unfortunately no photos!..
Ciao,
Priya & ush
