The Gypsy Who Sold Her BMW...

It was freezing cold (remember I'm from So. Cal. =) ) and rainy in Prague qwhen I arrived. The city looked dark and gloomy. The outer skirts of the old city felt scary. I had booked 4 nights but could have easily seen all of Prague in two days. I spent most of my time people watching in cafes. I did go on a city tour of the city nd visited the beautiful castle. Prague is a must see and in the warmer season for sure. I'm sure it sparkles and glistens in the sun. Really it is beautiful in the old city.
I met Rodrigo at my hostel. I love telling stories about people who inspire me so here it goes.......Rodrigo is originally from Montreal, Canada. He and I had a lot in common. He is my age. He had dedided to give up the life he had known: his very comfy corporate job, traveling in first class, his motorcycle, his boat, and his family and friends to open a hostel with his friend. I will always remember his quote˝ when the train you're riding is no longer fun, its time to hop off and ride another˝. He said he had had everything he could possibily ask for, but money and material possesions did not bring the happiness he was searching for. Its so true. I really enjoyed our talks. I could completely relate to him.
I have been reading The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. This book has inspired me. In reading it ,I realized I had been going through similar spiritual lessons in my own life. I too had left behind everythjing I had worked so hard to achieve, in search of the unknown. I even gave up my professional attire, for long bohemian skirts. Although, I can still rock a black dress and heels. =)
I don't regret it for a moment! I have met so many amazing people, seen so many incredible sights, and had so many heart filling experiences. You can't put a price tag on these life enhancing experiences.Take the Risk, Live your Dream!
