Ok, forget anything we've already told you about our favorite beers…which basically means we need to delete this entire blog, since our two favorite things to do when traveling are trying local food, and sampling local brews. Evan fell in love in Prague…no, not with another woman…it was another beer, called Kozel. If anyone has heard of, purchased, or even caught a glimpse of this beer outside of the Czech Republic can you please email me ASAP. He is a man obsessed, trying to find this beer in London…he's even emailed the brewery directly. We brought two big bottles back with us, he drank one, and is waiting to drink the second until we find this beer locally…it might be a while.

Prague is a beautiful city. It was untouched by the war and the buildings, we think, are mostly baroque in style. The Castle, which sits high on a hill across from the main tourist part of the city is so beautifully lit up at night and the view from the famous bridge, the Karlův most, is amazing. We spent most of our time walking around, and exploring local delicacies (of course)…this time we were in search of this magical hot dog that his completely encased in a baguette. We also found this pub crawl on Wikipedia and thought we'd check that out…one problem, we need to amend the Wiki entry to note that if you go on the pub crawl you must be under the age of 22 and single. Yes, we felt a little old…one of the girls, who was on a study abroad actually asked me if we had to work "everyday"…like, oh mi god, do you work everyday???...yes dear, and someday you'll have to too! We had a great dinner Saturday night and on Sunday toured the Museum of Communism and the Jewish town, which has such a fascinating history. To link back to our trip to Dachau, we saw the names of the Dachau prisoners from Prague inscribed on a synagogue wall, a cemetery that dates back hundreds of years, and profiles of the lives of many Prague Jews who were sent to interment and work camps. We also walked the streets where in the late 80s protests know as the "Revolutions of 1989" formed a revolutionary wave that swept Central and Eastern Europe, which ended with the overthrow of Soviet-style communist states within

the space of a few months.

One thing I will say about Prague, although beer is very cheap...less than 1£...everything else is very pricey. Not as bad as London, but don't come to Prague looking for a bargin...it is now such a tourist trap that that the days of only spending a few dollars a day are long gone. Totally worth it though, but just something I didn't think was obvious.

Ok, this is my last update for today...more after this weekend when we explore Southeast London Football hooliganism at its finest...yes, we're going to Millwall...(Green Street, Elijah Wood movie...check it out!)
