Hey everyone!
So, after my 14 hour, long, sad trip leaving Switzerland, I arrived to the most beautiful city I have ever seen. I know I wrote you from the laundrymat last, but that doesnt count because i had not seen the city yet!
That afternoon I walked around a bit, but not much because I was so exhausted. I met 2 very nice mexicans, Carlos and Jose, that shared a 3-person room with me at the best hostel in the world.
It really is just so wonderful here. So, we all went out for a bite to eat and then for drinks... everything is amazingly cheep here... a beer... $1 at most... and a good dark one at that! Its wonderful.
There is also some amazing art on the streets here...
So, yesterday I headed out to see these buildings. They really did take my breath away as I stood in awe looking straight up at gothic churches and castles and buildings... one after another. It was amazing. I took a walk down Charles bridge where there was amazing artist after amazing artist selling their work for reasonable prices! Jewelry, drawings, paintings, everything. I also,
which I did not know was here, was able to see another one of Frank Gehrys buildings ... Fred and Ginger... had no clue and that was just stunning! I ate dinner at the most amazing vegetarian restaurant and met two nice girls from Caimbridge (England) and we shared a couple really nice beers. Came home, a little tipsy, packed up and headed to bed!
I am headed to see Prague Castle and the old Jewish Town this morning followed by lunch at that place again and then I will be heading to Dresden, Germany... Coreys girlfriend, Dana, is nearby in German so I might meet up with her! Will get pictures up as soon as possible.
Smiles to all of you...
Jess
