In Kenya they had a great way of getting rid of scaps, in the early evening they threw them down onto the river bank and the crocadiles devored them. This was the biggest croc I have ever seen.

What a change hot weather for the past 3 weeks and we arrive in Prague to snow on the ground. Oh well just helping to acclimatize us for our eventual return to Toronto. Our hotel is Prague Marriott; very nice and close walking to almost everything. Prague is an intriguing city made for walking, which is such a treat after Egypt where the peddlers can give their brethren in India a run for their money in being aggressive. When we were departing from the Taj Mahal in Agra I was slightly ahead of Mare when I heard this piercing scream, quickly turning it was from Mare with all the peddlers quickly getting away from her. She came close to that scream a couple of times in Egypt. If they only realized that we are far more likely to spend money if they are less aggressive. Your fear is that if you stop to buy something from one peddler that you will be swarmed by the other peddlers. After our experience leaving Cairo we arrived late and very tired, bighting up the situation we were met at the hotel by Gary and Joan,

This open market is open all year. In other square they were setting others up for the Christmas Season. Thank god some people haven't become so politically correct that they can still call a celebration by its correct name.
friends from our Southern Hemisphere trip last year. The next morning we were taken on a walking tour of the Old Prague and some of New Prague. Since New Prague was founded in the 1400’s it is hard to differentia between Old and New Prague. I would love to be in the City in a couple of weeks since almost everywhere you go in the downtown area they are setting up Christmas Trees and booths to sell goods. In the evening we were taken out of the city for dinner and a folklore show, which was fun. On the 28th we had a bus tour and a visit to Prague Castle. There has been plenty of time for walking about which is enjoyable if a little chilly. Tonight we are off to attend the Slovak Philharmonic, and then tomorrow we travel to Iceland.

In the old square there is an ancient astromatical clock. When the hour arrives, 2 doors open and statues of the 12 apostles pass by, on each side there are 2 starues whose head and arms move and at the final strock of the hour a rooster above the apostles crows. The clock not only tells the hour but the month the position of the sun and moon plus the amoount of sun light. The blue in the picture represents sunlight, it turns to show relative to other months how much light and dark there is.
