3 weeks ago, somebody said let's go to Prague. It's my birthday. I'm getting freaking married. Prague. So with those words, I found myself on a plane to Milan. No, contrary to what some may believe, we are still in control of all faculties - this was just a transfer. Flights sucked, but hey, at least they didn't lose my bag on the way there (a la Amsterdam). Got in at night, and so, with the arsenal of a full packback at my disposal, Gibbo, Weish and myself went out of our hotel room in search of what all virile, red-blooded men search for in Prague. A good photo of Charles Bridge so that we can reminisce when we're older. Seriously, I think that throughout that whole trip, we inadvertently hit up the bridge like 77 times. I am sick of that P.O.S. Ok, ok, archiecturally it's pretty, and it's got a lot of history, but who wants history when the local girls looked like that. If you're a girl and reading this, i'm going to say the codeword "blindfold". Lads keep going.

What is it that they put in the water here? This was our first sojourn into Eastern Europe, and now I finally understand what the fuss is all about. And we were here for a bucks. Yay. Freaking YAY! It's been rare for us to encounter such a high concentration of beautiful girls. Ok, so we were in a strip club (tourist tip # 44 - GO TO GOLDFINGERS BOYS, tell you're girlfriend you're just popping out for a newspaper, anything, just go there). And ok, the strip club is in Prague. Somebody smack me because if this is wrong, I just don't want to be right. Ahh Mr. Hefner, I think you may be onto something. Now I won't tell too much as what goes on tour....... but let's just say that if you're getting married and want a little (clean & harmless) fun, head there and ask for a Pu$$y Galore. Don't ask me to describe it - it'll spoil the damn surprise.

Prague is actually quite a big bucks destination (duh!), so there is that seedy element of dudes trying to get you to go into their 'cabarets'. Tourist tip # 45: a cabaret also doubles as a brothel. Just so you know. We walked into one and found this out the hard way - and were so disgusted with the choices jacuzzi rooms and about 100+ entertainers (some of which were admitedly heartbreaking beautiful), that we said right lads, let's get the fuck out of here. So, 7 hours later, we went to find a bite to eat. Nah, I think we lads here still got some game, and respect, so not our style, and cruised out of there. Hey, if you've survived the wilds of Thailand nightlife, I think we can talk our way out of anything.

Ok, so i'm off the whole strip club topic now (btw hi Katie, Adriana, Sophie...etc) and we'll move onto the club scene. We went to 3 clubs. First one Radhost was pretty funky, but small. Was a latino night, i'll be the first to admit that i've got zero latino rhythm (gotta fix that), so after a few drinks, we moved on to this club near Charles Bridge that's 5 stories. Venue is pretty touristy - not many Czechs there, but again crowd was very Eastern European and the music was pumping. DJ in the house / techno room was impressive - wild sets that i haven't heard the sort of in a loong time (sorry Oakenfold / Van Dyke, but you've been outdone, for me). Went kind of crazy in there. Ok for a sat night. Sunday night we went to club Celnice. Ok, this place ROCKED! DJ sets were amazing - nothing that i've heard ever i think, plus the whole atmosphere, and the hot girls dancing everywhere. Whoa, this is living. Dominated the floor. I felt like we were in that video clip by Jason Nevins and Run DMC "it's like that, and that's the way it is. People were throwing down everywhere, but with hard house / techno music. I've attached a couple of photos for you fellas back home - and i wish that we could all have been there that night. Everyone was quite into the music (or so it seemed to us) and there was just a lot of energy in the room. So pencil this place in when you get to Prague.

Ok, now touristy things - go see the castle, go up the tower at the top of the hill for the views, walk around the old town, go for a paddle in the river with those boats with the footpedals. We didn't do too many cultural things there, but i know i'll be back.

Oh, and they lost my bag on the way back to London. That's 2 in a row folks. Ok, a little tired now from this blog. Phew, it's a little long. And I didn't even touch on the beer. If you want to meet real czechs, and pay cheaper prices, just go a little further out, i'd say towards the new town, and pop into on of the pubs (you can't miss it). The beer's great, less preservatives makes for no hangovers!! And 3 pints cost us 111 Koruna, or around 1 pound a pint. Bargain.

That's it for now folks. I know I went on for quite a while describing the girls, ah but the heart sings over there, so i'm sure you understand.

Peace.
