This will just be a quick one!
After the last blog, I had an early ish night which was nice. The next morning was the drive from Berlin to Praha, with a stop off in Dresden. Very clean, pretty city. Made it into Praha around 4ish and were stuck in ridiculous amounts of traffic. Headed upto the castle district and saw that, walked back down to the old town centre, across the famous Charles bridge. Dinner at the hotel and out for another walk (we do ridiculous unbelievable amounts of walking, seriously.....) to see prague by night. What an amazing place, I can't say I'd wanna live there, but amazing by night. Mostly czech people speak enough english to get by, better than a lot of Germans do!!!! First night in praha was amazing. Quick version goes like this:
'Beer Factory', 4 beer taps on every table, a digital meter measuring how much you've poured total for the table, 0.5L glasses and a bill at the end (55CZK / beer, i think, which is around 2 euro). Add in a dj playing only 'rock and guitar' music, lots of drunk people, a shot of absinth, and you have the
recipe for an amazing night. Some cool photos to come! Next day did a river lunch cruise, souvineer shopping, and then actually went on quite a mission.
I wont go into the detail here but had to pay a visit to the doctors, which was a mission and a half finding an english speaking doctor in an eastern european city. But eventually it all worked out and found an amazing medical centre that looks nicer than a 5 star hotel haha. It was all quite an experience.
Back to the beer factory the second night, it wasn't quite the same, the whole tour was there the 2nd night, it was only 12 of us the first night. Then on to Munich the next morning. We stopped in Dacau concentration camp on the way, which is a moving experience you can't really put in words, and as people have said, dont really want to talk about after. Arrived in Munich and headed straight out to the Hofbräuhaus, big beer hall, for dinner and a few steins!! Oompa band and all, a very awesome experience. Stumble back to the hotel and get some sleep.
I've felt like shit all
day today, but soldiered on and did a bike tour of Munich. All the tour guides we get are amazing funny people who love cracking jokes, which makes it entertaining!! The bike tour was great, and in bavarian tradition we stopped in the worlds 2nd biggest bier garden for lunch and another stein. 4 hour ride in total and back through the englischer garten, where hoards of people go nude and run around in a public park. Interesting! Climbed 300 steps to the top of a church tower.
Tonight it's out for dinner then a few drinks at the hotel I think, and white water rafting tomorrow on the way down to venice!!! By the way, in the last 3 days we have seen what are supposed to be rated the number 2 and number 3 worst tourist attractions in the world, one in Praha, the other in Munich.
S'all for now, even with pics this time!
