Alice and Mark in the water Krnovo Korcula Island
Loving Korcula, it is so beautiful here. The days are clear and hot, the water is crystal clear. The girls are having so much fun and they are in the water every chance they get. Yesterday we had a relaxing day. The rental car guy came and dropped our rental car off - a day late - but we didn't mind. It is a 4 door Peugeot 207. When the paper work was completed and he left, we walked down to the other side of the Bay and found it is just as lovely as the day before - and it was a little closer. Had a re-freshing swim. The beaches aren't sandy. Mostly rocks or pebbles or shingles. Had lunch at home then we drove into the town - Korcula. Driving was an experience, firstly you are on the opposite side of the road, secondly the roads are very narrow so we drove in second gear most of the way and kept well over to the right because they come at you in the middle of the road. Thank goodness it is only 3.5km to town. We brought some blow-up things to lay on in the water and a new

snorkel and mask for Alice, a large brim hat for myself. Explored the town. Saw a huge private yacht with it's own helicopter docked by the town. Went home and had another swim. Then we drove back into town to met Anthony for dinner. Marin (Mark's cousin who lives here) came to the restaurant also. Marin is picking us up this morning and taking us out to meet other family and have a swim somewhere. Alice is excited about meeting her croatian cousins. Today the temperature is going to be 37 degrees. Anthony is taking the quick ferry at 6am to Split and he is heading back to Auckland.
