We woke up early and started the 1.5 hour drive to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. We used the restrooms before our 4-6 hour hike (and by restrooms, I mean holes in the ground) and headed to the bus to drive us to the starting point. The hike was gorgeous, with crystal clear waters, waterfalls, beautiful flowers, a boat ride, and more. We absolutely loved it and felt that we went at the perfect time of year - it was not too warm and the tourists weren't as bad as other times of the year. We changed altitude many times and saw such beautiful scenery. After we finished our hike, we drove to Zagrab (the capital). We were so hungry after only having a snack during our hike, so we showered quickly and walked to a nearby restaurant. The menu was mostly in Croatian and we basically just pointed to things and ordered. Thankfully, our food was good and it was interesting to say the least. We walked to a small bar for a nightcap and went back to the hotel. It was another lovely day!
