I am finally catching up. We are at the point in the trip now where its difficult to remeber what happened when and where and with whom. Brain drain would be a good word for it. We have now been in Dilbeek for a couple of days and have setteled in with our host families, so now it is time to leave tomorrow for Marseilles. We had a walking tour of Brussels on our arrival day. I didn't take any pictures since everything is so big that you can not do it justice with a digital photo. You have to see it in person to get the scale of it all. Our families are in the city of Dilbeek , a suburb of Brussels. We had a walking scavenger hunt around the town and learned some language and saw some of the landmarks of the town. Yesterday we went to the city of Gent and did a lot of walking around the town, seeing amazing churches and buildings. Johhny, our guide and my host, was a great help in explaining what we were seeing. I found a Ben and Jerry's shop and had to take a picture. We all had Turkish pizza for dinner, a true culinary experience. Then, of course we did some dancing last night with a couple of different folk groups. Later on today we are going to mini Europe, a reproduction of the capitals of Europe that you can walk around in and feel like Godzilla.

We then try to host a group from that country as they present their culture to Vermont. Tom MacKenzie is a full time musician from Vermont and plays Hammered Dulcimer and Banjo fo... full info
